Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline, today announced the addition of a further destination to its route network from Liverpool John Lennon (LJLA) with flights to Ibiza to start at the end of March.
The airline operates over 40 routes from LJLA and today’s welcome news comes at a time when many in the industry are reducing operations. Flights will operate three times per week departing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, starting on 30th March.
Ibiza’s reputation as Europe’s clubbing capital is likely to make the route popular with the region’s ‘clubbers’ many of whom have made Liverpool one of the UK’s top clubbing venues. The Balearic island is also a destination that proves popular with families too with quiet secluded coves and familiar friendly resorts.
Ryanair celebrated the announcement of this and other new routes and increased traffic by releasing 1 million seats at just £10 including taxes and charges for travel across its European network in February, March & April which are available for booking on www.ryanair.com before midnight tonight.
Seats on Ryanair’s new route start from just £32 (one way including taxes and charges) and can be booked immediately on www.ryanair.com
Robin Tudor, Head of PR for the Peel Airports Group commented "At this difficult time for the economy and aviation as a whole, it is particularly pleasing to see Ryanair further their commitment to the Airport and the North West by continuing to develop their business here at LJLA. As we all look forward to warmer weather, we expect this sunshine destination to prove popular with a cross section of passengers."
Ryanair Sales & Marketing Manager John Booty added, "Ryanair is delighted to announce this new service from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Ibiza. This is a fantastic sunshine route and we expect seats to be snapped up fast."
