Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline, today announced the addition of two further destinations to its route network from Liverpool John Lennon (LJLA) for its Winter schedules, with flights to Agadir (Morocco) and Bremen in northern Germany starting in October 2009.

This will bring the total number of Ryanair routes this Winter to 43 and comes hot on the heals of their recent announcement to add 5 new routes to Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Rzeszow (Poland), Bratislava and Faro (Portugal) which also start in October, in addition to increased frequencies on flights to Belfast, Alicante, Malaga, Riga, and Wroclaw ensuring that Ryanair maintains its full capacity at the airport this winter.

The new Agadir service will see LJLA’s first scheduled service to North Africa with opportunities for passengers in search of Winter sunshine to explore this fascinating region. Bremen in North West Germany is famous for its historic buildings and market square.

Seats on the new routes from Liverpool to Bremen and Agadir are available from £10 and £37 respectively (one way including taxes and charges) for booking from tomorrow until Wednesday 26th August for travel until March 2010 on http://www.ryanair.com/

Passengers affected by the cancellation of Ryanair’s flight from Manchester to Bremen can now switch to the new Liverpool Bremen service.

Robin Tudor, Head of PR for Peel Airports commented, ‘The low cost operation developed by the Airport Company in the way we run the business here at LJLA, combined with the excellent airline ‘on time performance’ and high operational service levels that we have achieved, means that Liverpool continues to be an attractive option for airlines to develop their business here. Ryanair’s announcement today and their others in recent weeks is great news for the Airport and for passengers across the North West".

Ryanair’s Maria Macken added, "Ryanair is delighted to announce two new winter routes from Liverpool John Lennon to Bremen and Agadir (Morocco) which both start in October operating twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays. With a total of 43 low fare routes from Liverpool this winter, passengers can beat the recession by flying at Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharges to exciting destinations all over Europe."

"Agadir is a fantastic holiday destination with so much to offer – ride a camel, charm a snake or check out the Suq al-Had market, overflowing with North African spices. Bremen is a perfect example of what’s called schön klein – the German equivalent of good things coming in small packages".
