Ryanair have announced their latest commitment to operations at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA) today, with news that they are to add two new destinations to their Liverpool network for next Summer and increase frequencies on a number of popular existing services at Liverpool, bringing the Airport an additional 180,000 passengers next year.
The first of the two new destinations is Zadar on Croatia’s popular Dalmatian Coast adjacent to the Adriatic Sea and a gateway to the many islands located along the coast. The second new route will be to Lublin, the largest city in eastern Poland and an important centre for culture. This will see Ryanair operate to 39 destinations from Liverpool next Summer and carry over 2 million passengers.
Today’s news will also see Ryanair increase frequencies on a number of existing services to popular destinations including Alicante, Malaga and Faro.
Craig Richmond, CEO Peel Airports commented, "We’re delighted with Ryanair’s latest commitment to grow their business from Liverpool. Their decision to add an additional 180,000 seats on their Liverpool operations for next Summer along with brand new routes, including Zadar on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast is great news both for the airport and the region too."
It gives holidaymakers an even greater choice of value for money destinations next year and a further boost for the local economy with more visitors to Liverpool and the North West"
To celebrate their Liverpool summer schedule, Ryanair is launching a seat sale with 100,000 seats on sale at prices starting from £15.99, for travel across Europe on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in November and December 2012, which are available for booking until midnight Thursday (1st Nov).
