Senior Management from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) are heading off this weekend to meet with airlines from across Europe at the Routes Europe 2014 airline route development forum being held in Marseille.
The annual event, taking place from 6th – 8th April, is an opportunity for airports from across Europe to meet and discuss new route development opportunities with European airlines and this year Management from Liverpool John Lennon Airport have already secured meetings with 20 top carriers.
Airlines wanting to hear about the City Region and opportunities from Liverpool include potential hub carriers looking to develop worldwide links via a key European hub airport, as well as a number of important European low cost airlines looking at more point to point traffic from LJLA.
Director of Air Service Development, Mark Povall, who will be attending from LJLA commented, “This is another tremendous opportunity to showcase the Airport to a number of key airline decision makers as we look to develop our business further.
“We are proud of our impressive operational track record which has seen Liverpool become one of the UK’s best performing airports in terms of ‘on-time departures’ – a vital operational criterion for today’s time sensitive airline industry. I’m confident that that the combination of the Airport’s capabilities, the region’s market potential and all that is going on here will make Liverpool a compelling airport proposition for airlines.”
