We’ve all been guilty of letting the strict diet and fitness regime slip whilst away from the comfort of the local gym, but there’s nothing stopping us keeping on top of exercise when away from home. Whether it’s going for a run along the banks of the River Seine in Paris, or taking a dip in the seas of Spain, there’s plenty of ways we can keep our heart rates high on holiday.

Balearic Retreat

Whilst Ibiza is known for its legendary nightlife and wild parties, there is also a tranquil side to this stunning Balearic Island. Ibiza plays host to a number of yoga retreats and wellbeing centres, allowing you to take a well-deserved break from drinking and dancing. If a yoga retreat doesn’t sound like your thing, you can also take your mat to the beach and practice for free.

Country Walks in Belfast

If you’re visiting the buzzing city of Belfast for a short break, why not do some sightseeing in the form of a countryside walk? This area of Northern Island has some of the most popular hiking routes and coastal views in Europe, especially amongst the various cliff paths and castle ruins.

 Getting Active in Amsterdam

The preferred mode of transport for locals in Amsterdam is by bicycle, and with plenty of scenic routes around the city, there’s no better way to explore than on two wheels. Why not get your daily dose of fitness by spending a couple of hours peddling through the iconic Vondelpark, taking in the green surroundings and magnificent architecture. Alternatively, if you’re feeling brave you could always enter the popular Amsterdam Marathon in October.

Don’t forget, you can fly to all of these destinations from Liverpool Airport – flight bookings can be completed online here, but if you need some holiday inspiration our destinations page has all you need!
