Hamburg is Germany's second largest city and, much like Liverpool, as a port town is home to many vibrant neighbourhoods and a plethora of fashion, music and cultural hot spots.
In a city like Hamburg, you'll never be short of things to do, see and taste but we have picked some of our favourites to give you some inspiration;
Urban Beach Clubs
During the summer months, sand is imported to Hamburg's riverside terraces for visitors to enjoy urban beaches in the long summer months. Stroll along the River Elbe and enjoy the 'beach side' cafes and bars.
One of the most popular spots is Strand Pauli where you can watch ships pass by on the river whilst you soak up the sun on a beach chair.

Planten un Blomen
This urban park is a floral cornucopia featuring greenhouses, Japanese gardens, musical fountains and rose gardens.
Visit in the summer when the gardens (and fountains) are in full bloom and escape city life.
