easyJet has today announced it will operate flights to Venice in Italy from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) later this year, taking the number of routes they operate from Liverpool to 29.

This new service is due to commence on 31st October, with twice weekly departures on Tuesdays and Saturdays all year round. Flights go sale today, with easyJet expecting to fly 30,000 passengers a year on the route to and from Venice.

Venice is one of Europe’s most popular tourist and business destinations and this latest addition to the growing list of cities to be served from Liverpool, will provide added choice for both leisure and business travellers across the North West.

“Being one of the most romantic and magical places in the world, Venice often tops peoples list of places to visit at least once in their life. It’s also a strong European economic hub and we expect to see plenty of support from the business community on the route.

“This announcement highlights our commitment to providing affordable year round routes to from Liverpool but will also benefit inbound tourism to the city.”
