LJLA Celebrates National Customer Service Week 2017 #NCSW17

October 2nd 2017 marked the beginning of National Customer Service week, which celebrates the delivery of excellent customer service. Customers are at the heart of everything we do, and so we took an opportunity to go an extra mile and make someone’s day.

From introducing our new A-team volunteers to random acts of kindness here’s a roundup of events that happened that help make LJLA great and our customers happy!

A Team volunteer programme launch

We are proud to introduce and welcome our A-Team volunteers to the LJLA team!
We have been working with 3D Training to recruit volunteers from all areas of our local community to gain valuable work experience, learn more about the airport and meet new people. The A Team will collaborate with FoLA and our LJLA Colleagues to help us continue to give high quality service to all our passengers. Random Acts of Kindness

We decided to surprise passengers by giving away gifts, which were kindly donated by our retail partners, before and after their flights. These included:

  • Free tea and coffee from Rattazzi and Starbucks
  • Free travel adaptors
  • A meal for 2 at Frankie & Benny’s
  • A meal for 2 at Joe’s
  • A free glass of House wine at The Cabin Bar
  • Fast track tickets
  • Goody bags which included 15% off next car park booking codes.
  • Free Toblerones from World Duty Free

 

Trading places

From collecting ASQ surveys, working as a Barista in Starbucks and serving customers in the car park kiosk and Duty Free, to working on the X-ray feed in security several of our Colleagues, including our board of Directors, went back to the floor as part of a job swap. Trading places helped our colleagues learn more about roles outside their department to help deliver quality service.

We also wanted to thank our service partners, LJLA staff and colleagues who have helped provide faster, easier and friendlier service at the airport by surprising them with cake for their team to enjoy.
