Wizz Air add to their growing network from Liverpool

Wizz Air, the leading low-cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe have today announced another new service to be added to their growing network from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) with flights to the Albanian capital Tirana set to commence this Winter.

Three times weekly flights are due to start on 10th December 2021, departing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with Liverpool becoming the only UK airport outside of London to serve the Albanian capital.

This is Wizz Air’s third new route from Liverpool to be announced so far this year and adds to Wizz Air’s growing network by becoming their 14th route from LJLA.

Paul Winfield, Liverpool John Lennon Airport’s Director of Aviation Development commented, “Throughout the pandemic we have worked closely with Wizz Air who have continued to explore new opportunities for services all across Europe and we are therefore delighted that Liverpool continues to be an important part of their future plans with further expansion of their popular services from here.

As we continue to recover from the pandemic, we are pleased to be able to create more opportunities for passengers from across the North West and North Wales to travel to a growing number of European destinations with the added convenience of flying direct from Liverpool.”
