Taxis are a hassle-free mode of public transport that are particularly popular across the North West. Not many people know that Liverpool houses England's largest hackney carriage fleet outside of London, and the city is also home to some of the world’s largest Private Hire Operators. If taxis are your transport of choice you’re spoilt for options.

Hackney cabs

A hackney cab rank is located directly outside the entrance to the airport terminal to aid your onward journey, cabs are available for flight arrivals and all accept credit cards for payment.

All Hackney Cab drivers are local, highly-experienced, have passed an NVQ and are carefully selected by the airport to work from the rank.

All cabs can carry up to six passengers and are wheelchair accessible.

Taxis are also fully-sainitised, accept all major credit and debit cards and transporting you long distances is no problem.

Private hire taxis

If you have pre-booked a private hire taxi, they must pick you up and drop you off in the car parks.
