Travelling to Aintree

Travelling to Aintree for the Grand National? Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) is the nearest airport to Aintree Racecourse and takes approximately 20 minutes by car. Transport options are as follows:

• It takes approximately 20 minutes by car to get to the racecourse from LJLA, but bare in mind car parking around Aintree can be extremely limited during these events.
  
  
• A hackney cab rank is located directly outside the entrance to the airport terminal, cabs are available for all flight arrivals. If you are looking to book a private hire taxi, they must pick you up and drop you off in the car parks.
  
  
• Existing bus services may be an option for people wanting to travel directly to and from Liverpool City Centre, these services include 500, 82A, 86A, 80A, 86D and 82B. 

• Services 500, 80A, 86A and 86D operate between LJLA and Liverpool Southparkway. If you are travelling to and from Aintree via Liverpool South Parkway(LSP) be aware that there are no Merseyrail services from LSP. There will be existing bus services to get you to and from LSP.
